News From The Center

Welcome to “Eye of the Storm”, the premier edition of the Center for Right Relationship’s newsletter. As always, we are eager to hear from our incredibly creative and brilliant membership regarding our process and products. Do you like the layout? Is it too long? Too short? Is there something you were eager to learn more about? Please let us know what you think by emailing the Center at info@centerforrightrelationship.com.

This issue focuses on the Center’s Global Community Initiative, our international networking and community building project. We practice daily the looking for and sensing of that quiet center that is the eye of this visionary “storm” that is propelling us, and you, into a new way of relationship with ourselves, one another and the larger world. We are excited and carried by the enthusiasm for Relationship Systems Work™ that is demonstrated daily by you, the reader. We are delighted at the expansion of platforms where we can meet and dialogue, starting with this newsletter. In the next couple of weeks we will be able to invite you into the virtual community through the Global Community Network currently under construction. Watch your mailbox!

The next issue of “Eye of the Storm” will focus on ORSC certification. We look forward to sharing with you where we are in this exciting process. We believe that this will be a groundbreaking offering for the sake of building world-class practitioners.

Thank you for your warm support, encouragement and commitment to this journey together. We look forward to your contribution to growing this discipline of Relationship Systems Work™.

Warmly,

Marita and Faith

Creating Global, Sustainable, Communities of Practice

As we took the ORSC program back in-house at the Center for Right Relationship (CRR), we connected over and over again with the larger vision of this work: the vision that practitioners like you will be part of a global community that will make a difference. We aligned even more strongly with the commitment to have this work be available to all people, not only corporations and those who can afford it. And as we connected more and more with the organic emergence of ORSC Geographic Communities and the support that was asked from the Center, we discovered that, more than anything else, we want to create structures and support a Global Community of ORSC practitioners through the Center. The interdependence of our system means no one failure can bring down the whole system! What WILL happen is that every part of the system will learn from the rest and adapt. That is what systems DO! Now let’s do it with awareness!

We believe that leaning into our interdependence and trusting the systemic evolutions that constantly intersect in our daily lives will create the kind of awareness that might change the evolution of human consciousness beyond the “me” to the “we”.

CampfireChats

There is a camaraderie and community among those who sit around a campfire; it’s almost like the dark that encircles the gathering gently nudges people closer and strengthens connections. In the sacred space around the fire, people open up and informally share deep, introspective thoughts. They also tell jokes and laugh, with each other and at themselves. Somehow, Faith Fuller and the participants in the first CRR ‘campfire chat’ manage to create that campfire intimacy on an international teleconference. The topic is ‘Right Relationship: Living ORSC in our own Lives”. Read on for excerpts of some of the juicy bits and a summary of content, as well as a link to a recording of the full 60 minute call. It’s an amazing thing to experience: think s'mores meet support group.

Notes from the Field

Heather Bradley and Miriam Grogan, co-founders of The Flourishing Company, humbly state that the only form of special recognition they have received to date is being chosen as the inaugural profile for ‘Notes from the Field’. But don’t let their humorous humility fool you. This dynamic team of ORSC coaches—one of whom is based in Washington DC and the other in Toledo OH—are published authors whose clientele includes large non-profits like the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Minority Corporate Counsel Association; companies including Altria, Mitre and Owens Corning; law firms; and federal agencies, including the Department of Treasury.

It’s been a whirlwind ride. Miriam and Heather began as independent practitioners seven years ago. They met in 2001 while preparing for their CPCC exams and launched The Flourishing Company in December 2002. What makes The Flourishing Company unique, says Heather, is a focus on interpersonal relations at client companies. “We help people get along better at work. With their clients. With key stakeholders. With each other.” Miriam adds, “Our two primary shared values are fun and ease. If we aren’t having fun, or something isn’t easy, we stop and ask ourselves what’s not working.”
